대한민국경제신문 관리자 기자 | 세계에서 가장 복잡한 도로로 꼽히는 서울 강남·서초 도심 일대가 자율주행 실증이 펼쳐지는 무대로 새롭게 변모한다. 미래 교통기술의 정점이자 4차 산업을 대표하는 ‘자율주행 택시’가 국내 최초로 서울에서 선보이며 시민들의 심야 이동을 돕고, 일반 택시처럼 편리한 앱 호출도 가능해 자율주행 서비스가 일상 속에 가까이 다가올 것으로 기대된다. 서울시가 9월 26일부터 강남구 일대 자율주행 자동차 시범운행지구에서 국내 최초 ‘심야 자율주행 택시’의 운행을 시작한다고 밝혔다. 시는 그간 수요응답형(상암), 관광형 셔틀(청계천), 자율주행 노선버스(심야, 청와대) 등 세계 최고 수준의 자율주행 교통사업을 펼쳐왔다. 이에 더해 수요 중심 교통수단인 택시까지 기반을 확대하면서 대중교통부터 개별 이동까지 폭넓은 분야에서 자율주행 교통 서비스를 선보이게 됐다. 또한 서울시는 도로부터 신호운영까지 자율주행에 필요한 관련 기반 시설과 정책 노하우(비결)를 보유하고 있어, 복잡한 서울 도심 한복판에서도 ‘완전 자율 주행’에 근접한 환경을 갖추고 있다. 이에 따라 자율차 중 고도의 수단으로 일컬어지는 ‘자율주행 택시’가 운행을 시작하면서 국내 미래 교
서정대학교, 아프리카 탄자니아 잔지바르에서 Korea Culture Day 개최 서정대학교는 지난 9월 23일 탄자니아 잔지바르에 위치한 에덴 스쿨에서 한국 문화의 날 행사를 개최했다고 밝혔다. 이번 행사는 서정대학교와 현지 NGO 단체인 AAA(Africa Agape Association) 간의 MOU 체결을 계기로 열리게 되었다. 서정대학교와 AAA는 탄자니아 잔지바르 지역에서의 한국어 교육을 지원하고 다양한 분야에서의 국제협력을 촉진하고자 MOU를 체결하였다. 서정대학교 잔지바르 방문단(김근태 교수, 손혜진 교수)이 준비한 특별 수업에는 에덴 스쿨 학생 70여 명이 참여했다. 학생들은 한글 배우기, 한글 책갈피 만들기 등의 행사에 적극적으로 참여했다. 서정대학교는 현재 방글라데시 다카와 베트남 짜빈에서 세종학당을 운영하며 해외에서의 한국어 교육을 지원하고 있다. 서정대학교는 향후 탄자니아 잔지바르에서의 한국어 교육 활성화를 위해서도 계속적인 지원을 이어나갈 계획이라고 밝혔다.
